OAK RIDGE ANGUS HAS BEEN THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE LAFRANCHI FAMILY FOR OVER 100 YEARS.
Now in its 3rd generation, the ranch is run by Cheryl LaFranchi and her husband, large animal veterinarian, Dr Frank Mongini. By keeping a small herd they are able to give the each animal the personal care and attention needed to maintain a strong, healthy herd.
Oak Ridge Angus’s strength and resiliency was challenged when we were the victim of the Kincade Fire in October 2019. We are proud to say we have rebuilt and are stronger than ever. Our herd continues to flourish and graze in the rolling hills of the ranch which also provides multiple benefits to the ecosystem such as fire prevention and supporting native biodiversity.
Our Story
OAK RIDGE ANGUS PRIDES ITSELF ON A STRONG COMMITMENT TO GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.
Oak Ridge Angus is the founding partner and main contributor of beef to the Range To Table program, an innovative movement developed with the Redwood Empire Food Bank to feed the less fortunate throughout Northern California.
Originating in 2011, the Range to Table program under Oak Ridge Angus’s leadership and drive has provided more than 70,000 pounds of locally raised beef to the Redwood Empire Food Bank. “One thing is certain,” says David Goodman, CEO of the Redwood Empire Food Bank. “The nutritious food offered through Range to Table provides great joy for people who all to often consider mealtime to be a bleak experience.”
BUSTER & ELLIE
Frank & Cheryl are ‘supported” by their trusted ranch hands, Buster & Ellie. They excel at ranch security as well as taking numerous swimming breaks on the many bodies of water on the ranch.
